MMA-SFI National Championship 2025 Concludes Successfully at Thane, Maharashtra
The MMA-SFI National Championship 2025, held from 16th to 18th May at Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini, was a resounding success-bringing together over 100 athletes from across India to compete under official AMMA (Asian Mixed Martial Arts Association) rules.
This event served as the official selection platform for both the 1st AMMA Youth Championship 2025 and the Asian MMA Championship 2025 marking a key milestone in the growth of structured MMA in India. The championship was conducted under both Modern and Traditional AMMA rules.
The participation fee included event registration, accommodation and four fresh meals a day-breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. Participants were provided with a clean, hygienic and safe environment complete with a hands-on medical team, well-equipped ambulance ready for any emergency,well-maintained bathrooms and round-the-clock housekeeping-allowing athletes to stay focused and comfortable throughout the event.
All bouts were officiated by certified officials from MMA-SFI under AMMA rules, ensuring that the event was conducted fairly, safely, and in line with international standards. AMMA representatives Mr.Nieng Khai Tsan, Ms.Yu Fen May Ooi and Ms.Zihui Huang were also part of the officiating team.
The championship proceeded without any delays or disruptions and the atmosphere remained energetic, disciplined and athlete-focused across all three days. More than just a tournament, this championship reinforced MMA-SFI’s commitment to building a national structure that supports athletes with the right platform, facilities, and exposure-as India moves toward becoming a dominant force in international MMA.
