Home – Six Indian Officials Represent MMA-SFI at OCA-AMMA Seminar
The Mixed Martial Arts Sports Federation of India (MMA-SFI) proudly took part in the first
OCA-AMMA Coaches and Referees Development Seminar held in Bahrain from 25 to 27
August 2025. This landmark seminar brought together officials from across Asia to enhance
knowledge, share experiences and raise the standards of mixed martial arts.
A six member delegation represented India at this event. Mr Jitendra Khare and Mr Susovan
Ghosh were part of the instructors team for the coaches course. Ms Preksha Jhaveri was invited
to oversee the judges course. Mr Deepak Patil and Mr Abhijeeth Ramachandran attended the
coaches course while Ms Prachiti Nagpurkar took part in the referee course.
Alongside the technical sessions, the OCA also conducted talks on anti doping, safeguarding
and prevention of competition manipulation. These sessions offered valuable learning and
highlighted the importance of integrity and athlete welfare in the sport.
Following the seminar, four Indian officials also officiated at the first AMMA Youth Championship
in Bahrain as referees and judges. This event gave them valuable exposure and experience on
the international stage. The championship also served as the qualifier for the third Asian Youth
Games to be held in October this year, adding further significance to their participation.
MMA-SFI congratulates all six officials for their contribution and commitment. Their involvement
at these events reflects the growing presence of Indian officials internationally and strengthens our efforts to develop mixed martial arts in the country.
