Team India made a strong mark at the GAMMA Asian Championship 2026, held in Putrajaya, Malaysia, from 29 July to 2 August 2026. The championship brought together athletes from across Asia and provided an important platform for amateur MMA athletes to compete at the continental level.
As a member federation of the Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA), MMA-SFI was represented by Indian athletes across junior, youth and senior categories.
Team India finished the championship with six medals including five silver medals and one bronze.
Team India Medalists
Shivam Saha
secured the silver medal in the Boys Under 14, 42 kg category.
Mishty Pandya
secured the silver medal in the Girls Under 14, 46 kg category.
Pavan Pawar
secured the silver medal in the Men’s 120 kg category.
Jay
secured the silver medal in the Men’s Under 21, 56.7 kg category.
Nikhil Shetty
secured the silver medal in the Men’s Under 74.9 kg category.
Imad Khan
secured the bronze medal in the Boys Under 18, 56.7 kg category.
The results reflect the growing participation of Indian athletes on the international MMA circuit and the continued development of competitive MMA in the country.

fighters from across Asia.
